Brentford boss Andy Scott could hand his quartet of new signings their debuts against fellow promotion-chasers Gillingham.

Billy Clarke, Darren Powell, Damien Spencer and Craig Dobson should all play some part at Griffin Park but Kevin O’Connor is sidelined with a knee injury.

Charlton midfielder Josh Wright could make his debut for Mark Stimson’s side after the 19-year-old joined on loan until the end of the season.

Full-back Rene Steer has extended his loan deal from Arsenal for another month and will start while there will be a place on the bench for Albert Jarrett after he returned from injury.

Rochdale v Exeter

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale faces a striking selection headache following the return of Steve Basham prior to the long trip to Rochdale.

The 31-year-old had been sidelined for a fortnight with an ankle injury but returned to training this week just in time to rival Craig McAllister, Adam Stansfield and Marcus Stewart for the two places up-front.

Dale skipper Gary Jones will be one of two absent faces at Spotland after he failed to recover from a groin injury.

Midfielder Clark Keltie will join Jones in the stands as he is suspension with former Grimsby midfielder Ciaran Toner his likely replacement.

Wycombe v Shrewsbury

Former Chelsea defender Frank Sinclair will make his debut for Wycombe against Shrewsbury after joining The Chairboys on loan until the end of the season.

With defender David McCracken still sidelined with a groin injury Sinclair will make an immediate start at the back while Matt Phillips continues in midfield for the suspended Tommy Doherty.

Shrewsbury midfielder Ben Davies faces a race against time to prove his fitness after suffering from a gashed leg during last weekend’s goalless draw with Morecambe.

The 27-year-old required ten stitches to his knee and only returned to training on Thursday while midfielder Marc Pugh has joined League One outfit Hereford on loan.

Bury v Bournemouth

Defender Ryan Cresswell returns to the heart of the back four for Bury after he completed a one match ban for a red card against Chester earlier this month.

Out-of-favour Hull midfielder John Welsh could make his debut after joining on loan from the Premier League side.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has vowed to ring the changes after losing 1-0 to Notts County last weekend.

On-loan Portsmouth defender Joel Ward (ankle) and Sammy Igoe (hamstring) are definitely out but Howe could hand starts to Rhoys Wiggins and Alan Connell.

Chester v Bradford

Veteran striker Peter Thorne has returned to training following a neck injury but Bradford boss Stuart McCall insists he won’t be risked for the trip to The Deva Stadium.

Midfield duo Lee Bullock and Paul McLaren are in contention for a return to the starting line up after missing the 1-0 defeat to Port Vale last weekend.

Chester boss Mark Wright has a squad of just 13 fit professionals as they look to record their first win since Boxing Day against The Bantams.

The Blues – who are under a transfer embargo – are without defender Shaun Kelly and midfielder Damien Mozika who are still a week away from fitness.

Chesterfield v Port Vale

Port Vale defender Gareth Owen has been ruled out for the rest of the season after sustaining an ankle injury earlier in the month.

Midfielder Kevin Gall has returned to Carlisle after his loan spell came to an end and Scott Brown is doubtful with a neck injury while Dave Brammer (knee) is out.

Drew Talbot is back in the match day 16 for Chesterfield after serving a one-match suspension for a red card against Rotherham but is likely to be on the bench after The Spireites 3-0 win over high-flying Rochdale.

Aaron Downes (hip) and midfielder Peter Till (hamstring) are both fit to start against Vale but could have to settle for a place on the bench.

Dagenham & Redbridge v Macclesfield

Winger Colin Daniel could make his Macclesfield debut after joining on a one-month emergency loan from Cheshire neighbours Crewe Alexandra.

Defensive duo Rikki Bains and Sean Hessey face fitness tests for Keith Alexander’s side while James Jennings and Francis Green are definitely out.

Long-term injury victim Peter Gain is back in the Dagenham squad after missing the last two months with knee cartilage problems.

Striker Paul Benson is still out with a knee injury but Scott Doe is pushing for a starting berth.

Morecambe v Luton

Former Millwall midfielder David Livermore looks set to make his debut for Luton after joining The Hatters on a month long loan deal from League One Brighton.

Captain Kevin Nicholls will also start despite being handed a five-match ban by The FA, which starts on April 7, but striker Ryan Charles misses out after being loaned to Blue Square Premier outfit Kettering.

Meanwhile Morecambe boss Sammy McIlroy has only one injury concern and will wait until the 11th hour before deciding on the on the fitness of defender Jim Bentley.

The 32-year-old has been closely monitored by McIlroy after struggling in training and could miss out with Henry McStay on standby to replace him at the back.

Barnet v Darlington

Barnet defender Joe Devera is pushing for a starting berth after Mark Hughes limped out of the 3-2 win at Lincoln with an ankle injury last Saturday.

Striker Cliff Akurang has joined Blue Square Premier side Weymouth on a one-month loan while Arsenal loanee Abu Ogogo has a stomach injury.

Darlington’s lengthy injury list shows some sign of improving as defender Neil Austin is expected to make his comeback from a hamstring injury.

Robin Hulbert – who has a hamstring strain – is rated as 50/50 to feature while centre half Steve Foster is awaiting a scan on a stomach strain and will miss out.

Lincoln City v Notts County

Notts County defensive duo Jamie Clapham and Stephen Hunt will be handed late fitness tests prior to the trip to Lincoln after struggling in training this week.

Former Mansfield keeper Kevin Pilkington will continue to deputise for Russell Hoult despite his return to training after a shoulder injury while there will be a debut for Matt Richards in midfield following his loan move from Wycombe.

Imps boss Peter Jackson has also been shrewd in the transfer market and could hand midfielder James Bennett an immediate start after he signed on loan until the end of the season from Hull.

The 20-year-old impressed for the reserves in midweek and will make the jump up to the first team but defender Danny Hone hasn’t recovered from a knee injury in time.

Rotherham v Accrington

Rotherham boss Mark Robins has no fresh injury worries and could name an unchanged starting line up as The Millers prepare for their fourth straight home match against Accrington.

Striker Drewe Broughton will start his first match after finally having stitches removed from a cut ear while Jamie Clarke and Ryan Taylor will battle it out to partner the 30-year-old up-front.

Meanwhile Stanley skipper Peter Cavanagh is a major doubt after he picked up a calf strain during the warm up of Tuesday night’s win over Darlington.

Grimsby v Aldershot

Grimsby boss Mike Newell has no fresh injury worries and will stick with the same XI that saw off Gillingham last weekend when they host Aldershot.

Oldham loanee Jean-Paul Kalala is still sidelined with a stomach strain while Danny Boshell could return to the bench after recovering from a hamstring strain.

Meanwhile Shots boss Gary Waddock will again be without a host of faces as they bid to bounce straight back from last weekend’s loss to Darlington.

Keeper Nikki Bull has failed to recover from an ankle injury suffered a month ago with Venezuelan Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz continuing in goal while Rhys Day (ankle) and Ben Harding (hamstring) both won’t feature against The Mariners.
