Runaway leaders Burton’s title charge suffered a humiliating setback as they were hammered at rampant Crawley.
The Red Devils went in front in the fifth minute when Michael Malcolm’s cross was flicked on by Glenn Wilson and Chris Giles headed beyond Kevin Poole.
It got worse for The Brewers ten minutes later when skipper Darren Stride saw red for chopping down Jamie Cook in the box and Cook got up to convert the penalty.
Danny Forrest made it 3-0 midway through the second half with a smart finish before substitute Lewis Killeen completed the rout 11 minutes from time when he headed past Poole.

Cambridge’s chances of catching leaders Burton are hanging by a thread after Andy Mangan’s 23rd goal of the season fired Forest Green to a shock win.
Rovers silenced the home crowd in the 15th minute when former Accrington striker Mangan linked up with David Brown before firing past Danny Potter from 12 yards.
Anthony Tonkin came close to an equaliser before the break but Terry Burton saved well before Potter denied Mangan a second.
Gary Brabin’s men threw everything forward after the restart but Burton was equal to their efforts with one stunning save from Daryl McMahon.
Oxford United 2 Histon 1
James Constable celebrated his permanent switch to Oxford with a second-half double to keep The U’s play-off hopes alive.
Midson broke the deadlock in the 17th minute when he picked his spot from the edge of the box and curled a shot beyond the reach of Danny Naisbitt.
But The Stutes shot themselves in the foot 12 minutes later when target man Daniel Wright was sent off for clattering into U’s keeper Billy Turley.
It was all one-way traffic after the break and Constable levelled on 66 minutes when he got on the end of Nelthorpe’s cross to smash home before he snatched all of the points a minute from time when he hammered home his 24th goal of the season from close range.
Torquay 2 Kettering 0
Chris Robertson and Blair Sturrock grabbed a goal in each half to keep Torquay’s promotion push on course.
The Gulls went in front in the 20th minute when Tim Sills found defender Chris Robertson to fire home his third goal of the season.
On-loan Luton striker Ryan Charles was denied a leveller before the break by a smart Scott Bevan save and Poppies defender John Dempster produced a great block to keep out Roscoe D’Sane’s cross.
And on-loan Swindon striker made it two goals in two games on 65 minutes to seal the win when he got on the end of Nicky Wroe’s cross.
Barrow 0 Woking 1
Woking substitute Liam Marum grabbed the ten-man Cards an unlikely win at Barrow with a last-gasp goal.
The managerless Cards, who sacked Phil Gilchrist on Thursday, started brightly and Matt Pattison forced Tim Deasy into action before Andrew Bond and Gareth Jelleyman tested Danny Knowles in the Woking goal.
But Woking suffered a hammer blow a minute before the break when defender Colin Miles was sent off for a nasty challenge on Barrow striker Jason Walker.
The Bluebirds piled forward against the ten men but Knowles denied Brendan McGill and Simon Spender before Marum stole the crucial points three minutes from time when he fired home from the edge of the box.
Grays Athletic 1 York 0
Andy Pugh’s first-half goal earned Grays a priceless three points and lifted them above fellow strugglers York in the table.
Both sides had chances in the opening half hour with York keeper Michael Ingham saving well from Barry Cogan and Jamie Taylor while Steven Arnold denied Onome Sodje at the other end.
But the home side went ahead five minutes before the break when on-loan Gillingham striker Pugh fired in Taylor’s cross for his fifth goal in a Blues shirt.
York pressed for an equaliser after the restart but Arnold was in inspired form with a stunning save from Sodje before midfielder Simon Rusk saw red in injury time for foul and abusive language.
Kidderminster 4 Stevenage 2
Kidderminster came from two goals down to smash four past ten-man Stevenage at Aggborough Stadium.
Lee Boylan and Mitchell Cole fired the visitors into a two-goal lead but it started to go downhill when Darren Murphy was red carded for a foul on Russell Penn.
Matthew Barnes-Homer gave Mark Yates’s men a lifeline before half time and Penn then completed the comeback in the 48th minute.
Justin Richards and Martin Brittain then struck quickfire strikes to put the game beyond the beleaguered Stevenage side.
Wrexham 2 Mansfield 0
Wrexham gave their fading play-off dreams a timely boost as they cruised to a comfortable victory over Mansfield.
Obi Anoruo opened the scoring for The Red Dragons after just nine minutes from the penalty spot after Scott Garner had been penalised for a handball.
And it got even better for Dean Saunders’s men in the 25th minute when on-loan Gillingham man Andrew Crofts tapped home from close range to put them two up.
Jefferson Louis could have rubbed salt into the wounds after the break but his effort was saved by Alan Marriott.
Eastbourne Borough 3 Weymouth 0
Eastbourne striker Jack Jeffrey’s late double plunged Weymouth deeper into relegation trouble.
Matt Crabb broke the deadlock with just seconds of the first half remaining when he headed home Paul Armstrong’s centre.
But Jeffrey put the result beyond doubt in the 83rd minute when he fired home Daniel Brown’s pass from close range.
And Jeffrey put the final nail in The Terras' coffin in the 90th minute when he rifled the ball past keeper Adam Legzdins from long range.
Rushden & Diamonds 2 Salisbury 1
Rushden held off a late Salisbury fightback to move clear of The Whites in the Blue Square Premier table.
Skipper Chris Hope headed home the opener at Nene Park after 30 minutes when he glanced home Andrew Burgess’s corner.
And Neil Cousins put the result beyond doubt in the 42nd minute when he tapped Michael Rankine’s through ball past James Bittner.
But Djoumin Sangare ensured it was a nervous last five minutes when he rammed the ball home from the edge of the box but Justin Edinburgh’s men held on.
Lewes 2 Altrincham 0
Battling Lewes ensured they are going to go down fighting as they picked up their first victory in 2009 against Altrincham.
David Wheeler bagged the first goal for The Rooks in the 25th minute when he got on the end of Joe Keehan’s centre.
And Keehan was soon on the scoresheet himself in the 41st minute when he headed home Michael Standing’s cross.
Ebbsfleet United 1 Northwich 0
James Smith’s 68th minute header gave Ebbsfleet a relegation lifeline and all but condemned Northwich to life in the Blue Square North next season.
Smith latched on to John Martin’s in swinging corner and nodded the ball past Ryan Clarke in The Vics goal to snatch the three points.
Midfielder Lee Elam squandered the best chance of the game for Andy Preece’s men when he fired high over the Ebbsfleet bar.
