Gregory Vignal is on the verge of reaching an agreement with a Premier League club according to his agent.
The French full back is famous in his homeland for his chaotic career during which he has already played for nine clubs at the age of 27.
The former Liverpool, Rangers and Portsmouth defender is determined to leave Ligue 2 side Lens at the end of the season, and his representative has revealed being in talks with an unnamed Premier League side.
Vignal has had a bust-up with Lens’ home fans and it has been decided by his manager Jean-Guy Wallemme, the former Coventry centre back, that he will only play away games until the end of the season.
“We have very serious contacts to seal his definitive move. He will not be playing his football for Lens next season,” Jacky Mouyal told France-Football
“French and English teams are interested and talks with a Premier League team are very advanced."
