The Football Association are investigating suspicious betting patterns in the lead-up to Sunday’s Blue Square Premier game between Grays Athletic and Forest Green Rovers.
The FA have been asked to look into a surge of bets placed on the end-of-season game between the two sides, which ended in a 2-1 win for Grays.
Bookmakers William Hill and Blue Square both suspended betting on the fixture on Saturday after receiving an unusually high number of punts on Grays to be losing at half-time before going on to win.
This was, as it turned out, exactly how things panned out.
An FA spokesman said: "We take these matters very seriously and we will investigate."
Grays have also been quick to respond to the investigation via a statement: "Grays Athletic Football Club do not condone any form of corruption and there is certainly no room for this in football."
The bets were not as hefty as those placed on last season’s game between Accrington Stanley and Bury, which resulted in six players being charged.
