A return to The Football League is at stake for two teams who have recent experience of life in the upper echelons.

Cambridge, who were defeated in last year’s play-off final by Exeter, lost their league status in 2005, while Torquay were relegated to the Blue Square Premier two years later, in 2007.

The Us were the team closest to derailing the title hopes of Burton Albion, but only three points separated Cambridge in second and Torquay in fourth.

Cambridge boss Gary Brabin is unlikely to tinker too much with the team which overcame a 3-1 first leg deficit to defeat Stevenage by three goals to nil in a dramatic second leg.

Torquay also squeezed into Sunday’s final after a narrow aggregate defeat of Histon.

Unlike his side's opponents, Paul Buckle will have to make at least one change from the team which secured a place in the final.

A knee injury has sidelined Blair Sturrock. Buckle must choose between Elliot Benyon, Matt Green and Iyseden Christie to partner Tim Sills up front.

Prediction: Cambridge 2-1 Torquay
