Hull defender Michael Turner believes the players proved they are good enough for top-flight football next season.
Despite winning just one of their last 22 league games and losing their final match, The Tigers escaped relegation on Sunday as Newcastle were unable to pick up a point against Aston Villa.
And while he wants to see improvement next season, Turner feels their early form shows they are good enough to play in The Premier League.
“We showed during the early part of the season that we can perform at this level,” he told the club’s official website.
“That good start is what has kept us in this league.
“We know that we have to improve on the second half of the season because it wasn’t good enough, but everybody has learnt a lot and I’m sure the manager will bring in some new players to help the squad.
“Hopefully we can kick on next season.”
