Brede Hangeland has issued the firmest indication yet that he may stay at Fulham next season.
The towering centre half enjoyed an excellent first season in England and is largely acknowledged as a Champions League defender in the making.
Earlier in the week the Norwegian was strongly linked to Arsenal, a story he later denied, but now comes his firmest stance yet.
Hangeland is adamant he wants to stay at Craven Cottage, and he even states his desire to stay for a long time.
"There's been speculation but as far as I know there's no serious interest and I will repeat it again, I am really happy at Fulham," Hangeland told the club's official website.
"The prospect of playing here for another season with a European campaign is something I look forward to very much.
"Hopefully we can agree a new contract and then I'll stay here for a long time. It's been going in the right direction since the moment I came here. I hope we can agree on something soon."
