Fluminense boss Carlos Alberto Parreira has revealed the club is considering a move for Tottenham’s Gilberto.
The 33-year-old left back, who can also play in midfield, has made a limited impact since his arrival from Hertha Berlin in January 2008, and former Brazil boss Parreira says he is now considering a move to take the player back to his homeland.
“Gilberto is a name that we have already discussed at the club,” he said in O Globo.
“I know the player and he is good left-sided player who I called up for the 2006 World Cup.
“It’s something we will have to think about because we have to consider the financial aspect, but he is a player who could help us.”
