Pedro Mendes has pledged his future to Rangers after press speculation linked the Portuguese midfielder with a move away from Ibrox.
Lazio as well as Sporting have been mentioned as suitors, although Mendes, who joined Rangers from Portsmouth for £3 million in August 2008, insists he is happy to stay at the club.
“My contract is valid for two years,” Mendes told Desporto.
“I feel happy in Glasgow and I see no reason not to continue at Rangers."
The Gers' fragile finances have led to speculation that a number of players may be sold to balance the books, but Mendes does not believe his team are considering his sale.
He added: “I do not know [of interest from other clubs]. One thing is certain, I will not ask to leave. Nor do I think that Rangers are thinking about a possible transfer."
