Stoke have notably released striker Vincent Pericard who is one four players to be shown the door by the club.
Pericard has not made an appearance for Tony Pulis’ side since January’s FA Cup defeat at Hartlepool, and his contract has not been renewed.
“We have to change everything,” Pulis told the club’s website. “We have to push on, we have to move on and that’s what we’ll be doing.”
Tom Thorley, Jimmy Phillips and Marc Grocott also leave the Britannia Stadium while Salf Diao has been offered a new one-year contract.
Diao joined Stoke on a permanent basis in 2006 following a successful loan spell from Liverpool.
