Manchester United winger Nani is determined to lead Portugal to the World Cup finals.
Portugal are in a desperate situation in Group One, seven points behind co-leaders Denmark and Hungary, and a victory against Albania on Saturday is the only option for Carlos Queiroz’s squad.
Nani has stated that La Selecao have improved a lot during their last training camp, and he has promised that his country’s team will fight until their last breath not to miss out on the event of 2010.
“We are going to show that we really want to be in the World Cup,” Nani told A Bola.
“The squad is pretty much relaxed ahead of the game, as we were during the last training camp. Right now we must continue to work hard and as a team.
"We did play well and proved our collective talent, but we have been unlucky at times and no doubt we will score much more goals from now on.
“We are aware that Albania like to have the ball under contract, to keep possession, but we are going to show what we are made of, and that we are good enough to qualify for the World Cup.”
