Spanish striker unfazed by Fulham link

by Laurent Picard , 03 June 2009

Xerez striker Momo has refused to comment on Fulham’s reported interest in his services.

Twenty-six-year-old Jeronimo Cabrera Momo, known as Momo, is currently fighting for Primera Liga promotion with Xerez, as they will go up if they beat Las Palmas next weekend.

The Cottagers are rumoured to be interested in the promising Spaniard, who has bagged 17 goals and delivered two assists in the second division so far this term.

Momo refused to speculate about a possible move to London when asked about his future, as he remains focused on his employers’ ambitious target.

“I do not know anything,” Momo told As when asked about Fulham’s reported interest. “I am just aware of it thanks to the papers.

“I am serene and what I want to do right now is win promotion.

“I remain pretty much relaxed, ahead of the game.”
