West Bromwich Albion have rejected reports on Wednesday that Tony Mowbray is in talks with Celtic.
The Bhoys are hunting for a replacement after Gordon Strachan parted company with the club at the end of the season.
Strachan left after Celtic finished second in The SPL and the Parkhead club appeared to have moved to bring Mowbray in after failing in bids for other names.
However the recently relegated club have issued a statement to insist that Mowbray is not talking to the Glasgow side.
“We have not received any official approach from Celtic regarding Tony Mowbray,” a West Brom spokesman said.
It is the third similar statement the club have had to issue in the past nine days as they fight to keep their manager.
