Derek McInnes has tipped Barry Ferguson to be a star if he signs for West Bromwich Albion.
The St Johnstone manager spent three years at the Hawthorns outfit and played with Ferguson at Rangers.
And having experienced life in The Midlands, McInnes believes the former Scotland midfielder can still excel in The Championship.
“Barry would fit in perfectly with Tony Mowbray’s playing style,” he said in The Scottish Sun. “He’s a leader and a winner.
“The good thing about Barry is that he can do different jobs from midfield.
“The main thing is he can influence games wherever he plays. He’ll score you goals or he can dictate play if that’s where you want to play him.
“West Brom fans will take to him. I think he’d do a good job for them if he signed.”
