Premier League target Arango ready to move

by Laurent Picard , 04 June 2009

Mallorca striker Juan Arango has refused to rule out the possibility of moving clubs in the summer.

The Venezuela international has been linked to a host of Premier League clubs including Manchester City, Tottenham, Stoke and West Ham, but Villarreal are apparently in pole position to snap him up.

Arango bagged eight goals this term, including against top dogs Real Madrid and Barcelona, and he is ready to make the step to a bigger team after plying his trade for Mallorca for the last five seasons.

“The possibility of moving to Villarreal is quite strong, but there is nothing concrete,” Arango told Diario Meridiano.

“We have to wait for the offers to be studied. They [Villarreal] have excellent players but for sure joining a top club would be a great move for my career.”
