Diego Forlan has stated that he will ‘study’ possible transfer offers.
Atletico Madrid goal-machine Forlan has been linked to Primera Liga top guns Real Madrid and Barcelona, following an outstanding season at the Vicente Calderon.
The Golden Boot has also been linked with Premier League side Manchester City after bagging 32 league goals.
The Uruguay international has refused to close the door on a possible move away from Atleti.
“[Real Madrid are interested in me,] are they? I was not aware of it because I try not to listen to rumours and stay the same,” he told As.
“The fact that they are speaking about me shows that I am not doing too bad. This season has been a good one with Atletico.
“The fact Florentino [Perez] has been speaking about me is sweet. But I have no idea if there is something more than rumours from the papers.”
He added: “There is no need to study my future because I have a contract with Atleti. If an offer that suits both parts is made, it will be studied.
“That is all I can say about this topic. The club and I have to be on the same wavelength.”
