Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam is desperate to show Walter Smith that he has a future at Ibrox.
The 23-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Blackpool where he starred for The Championship outfit and Adam hopes it can reinvigorate his Rangers career.
“It’s up to the manager but I hope I am here next season,” he told the Rangers website.
“At the end of the day, I am on a contract, so you never know what can happen.
“There are quality players here and talented players coming through the ranks. I just hope to be part of it.”
He added: “I enjoyed playing in the central midfield for Blackpool but I was the only left-sided player at Rangers at times and I had no grumps, I was happy.
“There is nothing better than walking out at Ibrox in front of 50,000 fans. If I played left, right, or in defence, it was no problem.
“But I felt I need to play regular games and that is why I went to Blackpool.”
