Rangers defender David Weir is expecting the formalities on his new contract to be ironed out sooner rather than later.
The 39-year-old is ready to put pen-to-paper on a one-year extension and he does not anticipate any hiccups.
“I don't think there will be any problem agreeing a new deal,” Weir told the Evening Times.
“I haven't spoken to the manager this week because I have been on a coaching course.
“But before the end of the season he gave me the option of staying on for another year and I want to take it.
“There is a willingness to reach an agreement from both parties.”
