Barnsley have had a bid for Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam rejected, according to boss Simon Davey.
The 23-year-old Scotland international had a loan spell at Blackpool last season and, while The Seasiders are keen to sign him permanently, Davey has now revealed that The Tykes have made an initial offer.
"He did very well at Blackpool, played very well against us,” he said.
“What he would bring to the squad is a winning mentality.
"They turned the bid down and there's a price we won't go over so we have to find the right price."
