Robinson wants to follow Mowbray

by Brian Etherson , 14 June 2009

As Celtic edge even closer to naming West Brom manager Tony Mowbray as Gordon Strachan’s successor, Baggies defender Paul Robinson has admitted a move to Celtic Park would excite him.

The 30-year-old is currently weighing up his options and missed out on a move to The SPL last year and, with Mowbray on the verge of taking over the Parkhead hot-seat, the full-back reckons it is time for pastures new.

"I'm desperately disappointed about the gaffer leaving," Robinson told the Sunday Mail. “I'm considering my future and if the chance came to go to Celtic with the gaffer I'd be delighted to do so.

"I came close to moving to Parkhead last year but it didn't happen. Maybe it will now.

"I would love to move to a Premier League side but working with Tony at a huge club such as Celtic is appealing."
