Everybody loves Remy, but he's not for sale

by Laurent Picard , 18 June 2009

‘Several great European clubs’ have contacted France striker Loic Remy according to his parent club Nice.

But the athletic attacker, who has been compared to Thierry Henry, is untransferable the Ligue 1 side have insisted.

Remy recently made his France debut in the narrow defeat at home to Nigeria, and the 22-year-old has been linked to a return to his old club Lyon.

“OGC Nice want to state that, apart from Olympique Lyonnais, several great European clubs have contacted us in the last few weeks regarding Loic Remy’s transfer,” read a club statement.

“OGC Nice have categorically rejected any negotiation and even refused to speak, as Loic Remy is untransferable.”
