Roque Santa Cruz has hinted that he could remain with Blackburn next season, unless a club was to pay his buy-out clause.
The Paraguay international, who is currently recovering from a knee operation, expects to be fully fit for the start of next season.
Rovers star Santa Cruz has been strongly linked to Manchester City, but he remains at the club for the moment.
The South American is still waiting in the wings regarding a big money transfer, but he has claimed that possible suitors must pay his buy-out clause to lure him away from Ewood Park.
“A signed document stipulates that there is a lot of money to pay to take me away from Blackburn,” Santa Cruz told Radio 970 AM.
“If they don’t want to sell me, then I must complete my contract and continue with them.
“I am under contract until 2012.”
