Real Madrid director general Jorge Valdano has reportedly warned Arjen Robben that he should consider offers to leave this summer.
The Guardian claimed recently that Robben, 25, was one of nine players at the club offered to Premier League sides by fax, but Madrid denied that suggestion in an official statement this week.
It read: “Several Spanish media outlets today reproduced a report originally published by the English newspaper The Guardian, alleging that Real Madrid has offered players to certain Premier League clubs via fax.
“Real Madrid categorically denies such allegation, which if accurate would be absolutely disrespectful to the members of the team.”
However, The Guardian has now quoted Valdano as advising Robben to move on as Madrid look to recoup some of the cash spent following the arrival of president Florentino Perez.
"It would be better if Robben listened to the offers coming in for him," Valdano said.
Robben’s father recently dismissed suggestions that the player could be set to move to Tottenham.
