Laszlo wants fantastic four

by Gordon Pope , 20 June 2009

Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo is hoping to bring in four players for his side’s European challenge next season.

The Tynecastle outfit finished third in The SPL last term and, after losing several players, the Hungarian is desperate to bolster his side.

“If we can get maybe four new players - in central defence, maybe midfield but definitely in attack- we can have another good season. We lost players in key positions and we must replace them,” Laszlo said in The Daily Mail.

“If we would like to do something in the Europa League, we must have the team together very quickly.

“We already have a good team. I don’t think there is a big problem, only in key positions.

“In central defence, we lost Christophe Berra and Christos Karipidis. Also, up front, we need one or two good strikers.

“But the team is not so bad. We have some key players, like Michael Steward, Ruben Palazuelos and, hopefully, Adrian Mrowiec.

“A lot of good young players have come out of the academy but they need guiding.”
