Ronaldinho open to shock move

by Laurent Picard , 21 June 2009

Ronaldinho is ready to return to his first club Gremio in June 2011, his agent and brother has revealed.

The Brazil international’s agent has refused to close the door on a stunning move to his homeland once his contract with the Rossoneri concludes.

Ronaldinho is yet to establish himself as a key player at the San Siro, and the upcoming season will be decisive in his quest to revive his career, after two disappointing seasons.

“Ronaldinho for Gremio in 2011? Why not?” Roberto Assis told Globoesporte. “Right now it is far too early to speak about it, but it is an option.”

For his part, Gremio president Duda Kroeff has confirmed his interest in the Brazilian.

“The door will always remain open to the Assis family,” he said. “There will not be any need to knock at the door the day when Ronaldinho will want to play for us.”
