Boubacar Sanogo is yet to receive offers from Premier League clubs according to his agent, who spoke exclusively with setanta.com.
Portsmouth, Newcastle and Blackburn are believed to be interested in Werder Bremen striker Sanogo, but his representative has denied having been approached regarding a January transfer.
Agent Jeannot Werth is not sure the Ivory Coast international could obtain a work permit if an English club tried to lure him out of Germany.
But the 26-year-old is frustrated by his lack of action – he has only appeared eight times this term – and is open to any option.
Werth told setanta.com: “There is nothing concrete with the three Premier League clubs you mentioned, he is back at training with Werder and no decision has been taken.
“To be honest I don’t think he has played enough games with his national team to apply for a work permit. I think you need to appear 24 times for your country, but he has only been an international for a year.
“I have no idea whether he is going to stay at Werder or not. He has not been part of the starting line-up a lot this season, but [Chelsea loanee Claudio] Pizarro is still suspended for two games.
“Anyway we are listening to what’s happening in the market.”
