Lyon striker Fred has confirmed he would welcome a move to England.
The 25-year-old Brazil international’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season and, despite saying in December that he planned to wait until the summer before making a decision, it is now believed he could leave in January.
Fred has been linked with Brazilian sides Cruzeiro, Fluminense and Flamengo as well as Tottenham, but Harry Redknapp appears to have an edge after the striker revealed he would be interested in moving to The Premier League.
"England is a big league and it is natural for any player to want to go there,” he said in The Daily Telegraph.
Fred is thought to be valued at around £4.5 million.
