Vijay Singh will not take part in next week's Sony Open in Hawaii, according to a local report in the American state.
The Honolulu Star-Bulletin maintains that the Fijian informed a PGA Tour official of the news on Monday and that the decision is down to a knee injury which requires surgery.
The 45-year-old is believed to have torn a meniscus, which will rule him out of action for up to five weeks, but will play in Maui this week regardless.
