Exclusive: Penn would be a nightmare for Sanchez

by Ben Blackmore , 20 February 2009

Joe Stevenson has mocked Diego Sanchez for targeting BJ Penn, telling him: "You don't wanna p*** BJ off."

Stevenson knows all too well what it is like to be on the end of a BJ Penn mauling, and he remains convinced that nobody in the lightweight division can touch "The Prodigy" when he's at his best.

"Joe Daddy" intends to work his way back to a rematch against Penn himself in the near future, knowing victory over Sanchez would arguably put him within one fight of the Hawaiian.

However, Sanchez has already been sounding off about what he would do to BJ once he beats Stevenson at UFC 95, but Stevenson had a stern warning for his forthcoming opponent.

“If Diego starts making exclamations about BJ and he begins to pump him up and p*** him off, I don’t think he would have a very nice fight at all with BJ," Stevenson told setanta.com.

“It would be quick and to the point.

“BJ’s a great fighter, he hits hard, he’s one of the hardest hitting fighters I’ve ever felt and his explosiveness and heart is tremendous.”
