Thursday's meeting at Wetherby has been abandoned due to the extremely fast ground.
A malfunction of the water irrigation system meant that officials were unable to apply the necessary water on the course following several extremely hot days.
An inspection was held at 8am on Wednesday but with the system back up and running it was hoped that the course would be declared fit for racing later in the day.
However, a 4pm inspection concluded that the course was too fast and as a result the jumps card was abandoned.
"Although it improved marginally today we all felt it wasn't going to improve sufficiently by tomorrow as we would just have maintained what he have achieved today," said clerk of the course Jonjo Sanderson.
"There are certain priorities the British Horseracing Authority lay down for summer jumping. We didn't feel we were able to achieve those in the time we had left before tomorrow night's meeting.
"The safety of horses and jockeys is paramount above everything else and as such we have decided to abandon."
