why doesnt no-one say kevin mitchell has fought bums all his career if u say that about amir. if he does fight daulis prescott he wud probably get ko'd like amir

Ian - Mitchell's record is littered with bums. I will be cheering him on no doubt but Martinez will be a sink or swim fight - the jump from what he has previously been in with is too great.

Re Naz: yes was great and yet he only fought one truly great fighter; The fighters you listed were not bums but they were a mix of undeserving mandatories (Ingle) or fringe contenders (Sanchez). The two best names on his record you have missed out - Kelley and Boom Boom - he should have been in with Barrera again, Morales, Marquez and even a young Pacman.

Re: Gamboa & Cabellero - they will step up in 12/24 mths esp gamboa who is a huge FW.

bill is right i dunno if kevin mitchell can beat a top class featherweight, he should fight breidis prescotts little brother daulis prescott first (17wins 14ko's no losses)impressive record and a featherweight

Steve - re Salita and Mitchell - they have though somehow been ranked as #1 by WBA/WBO - whether they deserve ir or not. I looked on a boxing website the other day and Khan wasn't ranked in the top 15 of WBO/WBA/WBC or IBF at light or LW.Anyway there are plenty of overseas guys who get title shots without really earning them so it's swings and roundabouts i guess

Sam - Caballero and Gamboa aren't super feather's yet so we can't really class them as Super Feather's.

Why dont some of the British boxers in the lighter weight divisions fight in Japan as we have better boxers and boxers in Japan are paid alot more than they are in Britain.
