You implied that Carl fights smaller men and i mentioned that Ashira was small for a middle let alone a SM and was nowhere near the class of Taylor. i watched these fights - well half watched them - because i liked JC but doesn't hide my frustration that he often fought substandard opposition.
I have criticised other fighters for various reasons. Hatton should have fought Witter but Maussa , Collazo, Castillo , Paulie , Pac , Floyd were all world class or somewhere near it. Lazcano was a bit of a gimme but nothing like Pudwill etc .
Haye beat Mormeck in France to win the cruiser title and then Mac next - both dangerous. Barret was a weaker opponent but his 1st at heavy and he wants the 2 Klits next. Haye gets plenty of slagging on here for pulling out of one fight but Joe pulled out of many. Hatton was prob overrated but he chased the biggest fights even if he got pasted - respect for that. DD makes a good point, maybe you could answer ?

regarding some of your ealier posts ian,"if you were happy to watch joe fight below his level"and ashira was the smallest sm you saw mcintyre was usless.for someone who isnt happy to watch theese fights you sure watched an awfull lot of them.also being a small sm what weight class would you be fighting in sm or m yep you guessed it its sm big pat on the back for you.plus how come all the rants aimed at joe for this or that could easily be said about hatton and haye but you guys turn your blind eye then dont you

Totally biased anti Froch post i see.

Someone mentioned Joe because Joe said Pascal was unproven in world class and i guess by becoming a recognised beltholder - even if the guy he beat was the weakest champ - proved he was world class.
As for the dig at Carl for fighting smaller guys
A - JT had outgrown the middle division and so was lesseffevtive at that weight
B - Pascal moved up after losing to Froch which suggests he was a big SM
C - Pavlik is a big middleweight and Carl may fight Bute or Kessler 1st
D - Maybe Carl wants to clean up the SM's before moving up and maybe he'll move up if the right fight comes along.
E - re fighting smaller guys Ashira was the smallest guy i've ever seen at SM and Mcintyre was small AND useless too
F - How long did it take Joe to mix it with the top names?
