Yeats will be entered in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
While it may seem a shade fanciful, stayers have run well in the race, most recently Westerner, who finished second in the Longchamp extravaganza in 2005.
Though Yeats would hardly be one of the strong fancies as an eight-year-old, connections might view it as a shot to nothing with regard to his future stud career.
Part-owner John Magnier told the Daily Telegraph: "He'll be entered for the Arc, but there's no guarantee he'll run.
"But history tells us that really good stayers have run well in the Arc, horses such as Levmoss and Ardross."
