Ugo Monye has said that it was his fault that he failed to score a try for the British & Irish Lions on Saturday.
The English winger feels that he could have swung the First Test against South Africa in favour of the Lions if only he had scored a try.
The Tourists slipped to a 26-21 defeat in Durban, although it could have been a different outcome had Moyne not missed the chance to touch down twice.
Monye collected a pass from Robert Kearney in the second-half and looked set to dive over the whitewash when a Springbok player knocked the ball from his one-armed grip.
He has admitted that he should have done better with the opportunity and has vowed to make amends if he is picked for the Second Test.
"I'm upset and frustrated because we lost the game and I might have been able to influence that," said Monye.
"I was guilty of two missed opportunities and I know how crucial they proved.
"But it will spur me on. If I do get another chance, I'll make sure I'm in the right position and am doing the right things to get over the whitewash."
