Antrim step up manager search

by GAA Staff , 28 October 2009

Antrim chiefs will be stepping up their quest for a new manager in the coming days and will speak to several candidates about the position.

Former manager Dinny Cahill has made no secret of his desire to take the reins of the Saffrons and county chairman Dr John McSparron has confirmed he will be one of those spoken to. In addition, McSparron has hinted that he will be holding discussion with several interested parties.

"There have been expressions of interest from a few different sources and now we have to see how serious they are," McSparron told the Irish Mirror.

"Technically it's still October and there is no collective training allowed in November and December, but I'd hope to have it resolved within two weeks."
