Chris Waddle
An elegant flair player who went from the humble beginnings of working in a sausage factory and turning out for Tow Law Town, to becoming one of England's most respected exports in a foreign league when starring for Marseille.
A star turn at Newcastle United, he went on to represent Tottenham with distinction before the stunning switch to Marseille that caused a few major ripples at the time.
Towards the end of his career, he pulled on the red and white of boyhood idols Sunderland and later managed Burnley.
Chris is an experienced pundit and joins the Setanta team to cover our England games as of this season.
Having been part of the side that got all the way to the World Cup semi-finals in 1990, and suffering the heartbreak of missing a penalty in the shoot-out, he knows all about the highs and lows of the international game.
Where does Honest Al go from here?
I don't know where Alan Shearer goes from here, I've got to say. He's tried every system you can think of.
Now he may be better off with no strikers and packing the midfield as it was a shambles. It could have been seven or eight, they have hit the bar three times.
Let's be honest, Newcastle had one chance, one attempt at goal.
Joey Barton has been quiet all game, he's got on with his job, tried to pass and compete and, all of a sudden, things are not going their way and he does that. He should not have been questioning it.
But that was an excellent post-match interview from Shearer. How honest can you be?
