The greatest knockout competition in the world (that’s what it says here on this FA press release) comes to Setanta Sports on Friday night as we kick off the First Round Proper live.
Leeds United v Northampton Town is live from 7.25pm on Friday and following that will be us – the Friday Football Show - at 10pm.
James Richardson will be joined in the studio by Steve Claridge and Don Hutchison as we look ahead to the weekend’s FA Cup and Premier League action.
We hear from two re-formed clubs bouncing back from extinction - Adam Darke reports from AFC Wimbledon as they gear up to face Wycombe Wanderers, while Richard Adams is a guest at AFC Hornchurch’s final training session as they prepare to take on Darren Ferguson’s Peterborough United.
Back in the Premier League, we’ll feature West Brom – can they stay true to their footballing principles ahead of two tough live games on Setanta – at Liverpool this Saturday and next weekend at home to Chelsea? Darrell Currie reports from the Hawthorns and speaks to Ishmael Miller and Robert Koren. We’ll also get the thoughts of Rafa Benitez and get Don’s views in the studio about Liverpool’s chances of going all the way this season.
