Greetings from Xtreme Couture

It sounds strange to say this, but I’m actually writing this from Las Vegas at the moment, West Tropicana, where I’m training at none other than Randy Couture’s gym – which is awesome.

It’s a huge gym, really spaced out…perfect training facilities. Randy’s not here at the moment…his son told me that he’s currently in Oregon with his other brother, but I hope to work with him soon.

I’ve been training with all the boys, Tyson Griffin is here, Martin Kampmann, Junie Browning. Junie’s actually a really cool guy. I got on really well with him. Tyson and Martin obviously haven’t returned to the gym since their fights at UFN 18, so I’ll be able to give you an update on those guys next week.

There’s a whole heap of top talent in here – there’s UFC fighters everywhere. You also get Phil Baroni walk in every-so-often. It really helps interacting with all these top guys.

I’m also sticking to my diet and regime really closely and that’s making a big difference to how I can train. I’m feeling really good right now and I have to say I’m competing with the other guys not a problem. I’m grappling with them, my wrestling is coming on really well, plus my Muay Thai is standing up brilliantly thanks to Mark DellaGrotte. All the tricks he taught me are working like a charm. Mix that with the excellent boxing coaching I’ve had back home and things are coming together really nicely.
