Wimbledon can't ace it

Every game is going to be a big game for AFC Wimbledon in the Blue Square Premier next season. They carry big support and that’s what you want in this league .

You’ve got the crowd and the big name because Wimbledon are a big name. Added to that you’ve got Luton Town as well which makes it even better.

There are a lot of big names in this division, with York City staying up as well.

You look at AFC Wimbledon and they’re one scalp that everyone is going to want to take.

There’s a lot of work there for Terry Brown. He’s got to have a big change because that squad for me wouldn’t survive this league and they wouldn’t be able to compete.

They’ll need to compete for a play-off spot because their supporters are going to be hungry. They’re going to want it rightaway.

To get back in the Football League, that squad isn’t good enough. They’ll have to go out and bring in some more experienced players to try and get themselves up.

Mr Parker..how you are getting paid off Setanta Sports to come out and say such total drivel is beyond me. You obviously no nothing of this great club nor have any respect for its fans and Managment team..I'm affraid its in line with all the other stupid comments that have been made by other so called experts on the Setanta pannel..do us all a favour and read up plus think before opening your mouths..I for one will be listening to Five Live from now on..far more proffesional with more educated presenters

I yes I do go to Home & Away games unlike most of the arm chair supporters you talk too on your show's

This is a very poor article. He's making us fans look like we're prima donnas or something. I think all AFC fans would be happy just to stay up next season.

No one wants it right away, where did he get that fact from?

How often has Paul Parker been down to Kingsmeadow this season?? He hasn't got a clue if our side is capable of competing or not! Many of our squad have played at Conference National and dropped down a league to play foe th Dons. Admittedly promotion next season is probably beyond us, but to say we can't compete without big changes is not the case!

Poor Paul, we are supporters not fans I don't care what league we are in as long we are in a league, winning is a bonus, winning with flair (nowadays ) is cool...but winning when your are an underdog tastes so much sweeter, more now then ever - even the F.A can't beat us. By the way MK are pariahs (lest we forget)

Just the once perhaps in the FA Cup against Wycombe Wanderers? A team about to get promoted from Division Four.

Quite a gap, me thinks, like two divisions.

I suspect Mr. Brown might understand the reality of the situation a little more than your good self.

What is the point of this article? Any team giong up a league would expect to see some changes in player personel. I don't know of any AFC supporter who expects to get out of the Blue Square Premier at the first attempt.
A large number of the teams we will face are full time professionals and it has already been put on record that AFC do not intend to go Full Time this coming season. It's almost as if you don't know anything about Terry Brown either. I think he's "been there - done that" in this league already!
