*Rangers are facing a battle with Celtic for the signature of Hermann Hreidarsson from Portsmouth according to The Daily Record.

* Barnsley have had a bid rejected for Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam.

* Rangers midfielder George Efrem has joined Omonia Nicosia and Bruno Aguiar of Hearts is set to undergo a medical with the Cypriot outfit.

* The News of the World is reporting that Allan McGregor will leave Rangers and join Hannover in Germany, while Walter Smith could be signing Hermann Hreidarsson.

being honest both old firm sides are being linked with mediocre players, not long ago laudrup, gazza, albertz, di canio, larsson, sutton were on view on old firm derbies. now we both trying to secure 34yr old hreidarsson etc, this sky money is gonna soon mean players would rather sign for wolves than the old firm, some change in 10years, worrying times in glasgow

A goalkeeper,Cerny,Langfield,either would do,
A CB is needed,either Tonel,Stranzl or Bajsmaer(spelling)would do,
A left sided midfielder,Brunt has been mentioned as has Dorman,

We would'nt have to spend very much(not that we have much to spend),we could afford to buy these players if we get rid of Ferguson,McGregor and the rest of the deadwood,use most of our CL money £10-15million to help service our debt.there's no reason why we can't go on and be as successfull as last year maybe even better.Just Champions

with all due respect benidorm bear, zander diamond is one of them and is miles off being good enough for us, it would be criminal to sign someone as poor as that, we will never be down at his level! webster deserves a chance to prove his fitness, kenneth is a mountain but very slow and makes lots of silly mistakes, jones on a one off match can be monumental, but i think even the likes of sporting, wolfsburg etc will tear them apart in champs league, time to show ambition Rangers, put sellik to bed for good. we have the building blocks of a right good side, but we must buy wisely. no more daillys/mccullochs!

Rory Loy is another young talent that has been proving not only in resrve matches but when loaned out that he has an eye for goal - pace - great dead ball and passing and is again IMO READY !
