by setanta.com staff , 29 May 2009

Check out all the transfer talk from West Ham throughout the summer.

* Matthew Bates has signed a new contract with Middlesbrough, quashing speculation linking him with West Ham.

* Albin Ebondo, the Toulouse full back who was a target for Newcastle and West Ham in January, has said he is likely to now remain at the club.

* Crystal Palace have agreed a deal to take West Ham's Freddie Sears on a season-long loan. Click here for more.

* Gianfranco Zola is going all out to sign Mario Balotelli for West Ham from Inter. He is one player I would love to see in The Premier League. Here's hoping this one goes through. Read what Zola said on the Nerazzurri forward here

* Patryk Malecki has indicated that two Premier League clubs are on his trail, setanta.com can reveal. West Ham have been strongly linked to the Poland Under-21 international.

* Radoslav Kovac wants to remain at West Ham despite apparent interest from Sunderland. Click here for more.

* It seems Gareth Southgate is being stubborn again. Not only does he refuse to leave Boro, but he will not let Matthew Bates join West Ham either. Click here for more

* Interesting development in the Robert Acquafresca episode. The Italian striker's agent claims that West Ham have registered their interest in the player, along with Fulham. Read all about it.

* Man City and West Ham fans take note. City striker Felipe Caicedo has claimed that West Ham have been in contact with him. Read exactly what the burly forward said here.

* Martin O’Neill would also like West Ham United defender Matthew Upson, according to the People, although the News of the World claim the England international is more likely to end up at Manchester City.

* West Ham have been linked with a move for Inter midfielder Luis Jimenez recently but now reports in Italy claim that Parma are also interested in the player.

* Meanwhile, Cadiz are believed to be interested in picking up Diego Tristan following his release by The Hammers at the end of the season.

* A source close to Calum Davenport has told the Sunderland Journal that the player is still keen on a move to The Black Cats, but with the change of ownership his future remains uncertain.

* The agent of Luis Jimenez has come out and claimed to know nothing of apparent interest from West Ham. Where can you find an elaboration of such quotes? Right here.

* Jan Lastuvka, the Czech keeper, has confirmed his return to Shakhtar Donetsk after a loan spell at West Ham. He seems keen on a move to Upton Park but thinks Donetsk may price him out of a switch.

* West Ham's Gianluca Nani has admitted he likes Luis Jimenez of Inter. And there was us thinking it was a rather flimsy link yesterday. See here.

* Luis Jimenez has admitted he is concerned at a lack of playing time at Inter. West Ham have been mentioned as a possible destination but it's a bit flimsy this one.

* The agent of Rod Fanni has told setanta.com that The Hammers are in talks to sign the right back from Rennes. Click here for full story.

* Barry Fry has announced, with his usual tact, that West Ham striker Freddie Sears will be joining Sheffield Wednesday on loan after Peterborough failed to snare the youngster. Click here for full story.

* The Hammers have also decided against taking up the option to sign Radoslav Kovac on a permanent deal.

* West Ham have confirmed Lucas Neill has left the club and others released include Jimmy Walker, Lee Bowyer, Kyel Reid and Diego Tristan. David Di Michele has also returned to Torino after his loan spell expired.

* Hungary Under-21 keeper Peter Kurucz has signed a four-year contract at West Ham after a loan spell at Upton Park.

* It is understood that West Ham have until June 20 to take up their option on Radoslav Kovac, who is on loan from Spartak Moscow. Is the Czech worth signing Hammers fans?

* West Ham United have enquired about Toulouse full back Albin Ebondo, according to L’Equipe.

* Lucas Neill has rejected a new contract offer from West Ham United. The Australian's rumoured £60,000-a-week deal expires at the end of June and The Hammers, perhaps not surprisingly, would like their captain to take a wage cut to remain at Upton Park.
