Sunderland striker Roy O'Donovan has joined League One outfit Hartlepool on loan for the rest of the season.
The 24-year-old has struggled to make an impact since arriving at the Stadium of Light and Black Cats boss Steve Bruce has sanctioned the move to Victoria Park.
Hartlepool director of sport Chris Turner is delighted to have secured the signing and believes it is a fresh start for the player.
"It's an opportunity for him to show us what we can do," Turner told his club's official website. "He has genuine pace which I feel we've been lacking. I think he'll freshen things up for us and hopefully enjoy his spell with the club."
