England bowler Ryan Sidebottom has been ruled out of the remainder of England's tour of Bangladesh because of injury.
Sidebottom had already been ruled out of the remaining ODI series as a result of the thigh injury he picked up in the opening victory against the hosts on Sunday, but it was hoped he would be fit to play in the two-Test series.
However, the left-armer will instead fly home after failing to recover sufficiently. Tim Bresnan, who played two Tests against the West Indies in 2009, will replace Sidebottom in the Test squad.
"Sidebottom has pulled a side muscle and will be going home on Saturday after the one-dayers have finished. He won't be fit for the Test matches so he has to go home," England coach Andy Flower said.
"Bresnan is going to take his place. He's staying on after the one-dayers."
