Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa will miss the rest of the season and this summer's World Cup with a knee injury.
The Portuguese full-back had been back in light training after knee surgery but has now been told he will not play again this season as another operation is required.
The 27-year-old has not played in the Premier League since the middle of October and has only made eight appearances for the Blues.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have revealed that Bosingwa's international team-mate Ricardo Carvalho came back from international duty with a tight hamstring and is a doubt for the FA Cup quarter-final clash against Stoke City.
