Hull boss Phil Brown was particularly disappointed with the way his team capitulated at Everton on Sunday afternoon.
It was yet another fruitless away trip for the Tigers but with matches coming up against opposition around them in the table he is looking for a response.
Speaking to the Hull Daily Mail; Brown said: "I was very disappointed with the way we went under and I've made that clear.
"It was uncharacteristic you could say, but as far as I'm concerned the goal difference will play a big part in our season and that kind of collapse is not what is required.
"There's a concern that a result can dent your confidence but it's our job to make sure it's not dented sufficiently in time for the Arsenal game on Saturday."
