Sir Alex Ferguson admits he doesn't know if David Beckham will start for AC Milan at Old Trafford on Wednesday.
The Manchester United manager revealed he was unsure of the visitors likely line-up for the Champions League last 16 second leg clash - in which the Premier League champions hold a 3-2 advantage - because of Beckham's relative inactivity since his ineffectual display against the Reds in Milan.
"I am finding it difficult to pick their team but I don't know whether Beckham will start," Ferguson said in his pre-match press conference.
"I have not got that down in my conclusions about their team.
"He has not started a game since the first leg, so it is difficult to say what impact he will have on the game."
United fans are taking advantage of the £25 free bet to back Ferguson's side to win the second leg and progress to the last eight stage at the expense of Beckham's.
But the Scottish manager believes the ex-United wide player could create danger to his side's aggregate lead and paid tribute to Beckham's ability to cross a ball.
"He will be there and the one thing you have to be aware of is his delivery of the ball, which is fantastic," he said.
"That is the threat.
"There are a lot of threats in their team of course, but we are well aware of David's."
