French defender Youl Mawene faces a battle to be fit for Preston's trip to the Hawthorns to face high-flying West Brom this weekend.
North End boss Darren Ferguson will have to run a late fitness test for the defender who missed out in midweek after picking up the knock against Forest last Saturday.
Liam Chilvers is expected to keep his place if Mawene doesn't complete his recovery in time.
