Cardiff City are hopeful that the Malaysian consortium interested in taking over the club will succeed.
Boss Dave Jones was present at a meeting with City's board and representative Dato Chan Tien Ghee, who made an initial investment in the Bluebirds back in November and subsequently became a director himself.
The club only have until May 5th to find £1.9 million for an unpaid tax bill or facing being wound up.
Having hinted at a pre-season tour in Malaysia, this adds weight to the fact that takeover negotiations are at an advanced stage.
