Barnsley boss Mark Robins could hand teenage duo Reuben Noble-Lazarus and Jamil Adam starts against Swansea on Saturday.
Noble-Lazarus became the youngest player to appear in a Football League match last season when he came on as a substitute in the 3-0 defeat to Ipswich in March, aged just 15 years and 45 days.
The youngster has managed just one appearance so far this term but could be in line for a start against the Swans.
Adam has barely featured this term either but is also pushing for an inclusion as Robins ponders making several changes.
Striker Daniel Bogdanovic, meanwhile, remains sidelined with a hamstring strain and midfielder Anderson De Silva has a thigh injury.
