Liverpool are set to step up their interest in Charlton's Jonjo Shelvey as the Addicks prepare to let him leave in the summer.
Addicks chairman Richard Murray has revealed that he expects the midfielder to leave in the summer with the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea all linked with the player.
Reds chiefs are now looking to make a move for the Romford born midfielder and are trying to leap to the front of the queue for the player.
Addicks chairman Richard Murray said: "There has been some interest shown in the player but we're some way off doing a deal."
